Pedestrian nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Mar 18: Gandhi Nagar police under Operation Sanjeevani nabbed a pedestrian along with heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka near cremation ground chowk at Shashtri Nagar and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Manjot Singh, son of Manjeet Singh, a resident of Preet Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 49/17 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
