KISHTWAR, Jan 30: Police arrested a pedestrian along with 140 grams charas from Sigdi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Dadpath police post.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Dadpath police post laid a naka at Sigdi and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 140 grams charas from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Ashiq Hussain, son of Ghulam Mohammad Muchi of Sarkoot, district Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 8/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Chatroo and investigation started.
