Pedestrian nabbed with 7 kgs charas

JAMMU, Feb 26: Pounichak police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ nabbed a pedestrian along with 7 kilograms of charas.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Pounichak police post raised a naka near Bohri and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
On seeing police cops, the pedestrian tried to escape, but the cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
During checking, police recovered 7 kilograms of charas from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Muthi Camp.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Domana and investigation started to ascertain the source of this consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Pounichak police post SI Sumit Magotra made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Singh, SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
