UDHAMPUR, Apr 13: A pedestrian was knocked to death by a load carrier on the National Highway at Rathian, here this evening.
The deceased was identified as Anil Kumar (32), son of Tirth Ram of village Rathian. He was walking on the roadside when a Mahindra load carrier, bearing registration number JK02BJ-8377, on its way from Rathian to Udhampur, hit him.
Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Udhampur Police has registered the case in this connection.
