Peace Bus service to PoK remains suspended for fourth consecutive week from Poonch

JAMMU : The Poonch-Rawlakote ‘Peace Bus’ to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir today remained suspended for the fourth consecutive week from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The ‘Peace Bus’ today remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day as the Pakistan authorities did not open the gates for the PoK residents ferrying the bus,” said an official.
“The authorities across the border have been requested for further action so that residents stranded on both the sides can reach their native places,” he added.
Last Monday, stranded PoK residents staged demonstrations against authorities for not allowing them to cross over.
The bus service has been suspended for the fourth time in a month in view of escalated tension between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control. (AGENCIES)
