JAMMU, Sept 2: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Jammu-East Assembly constituency, Bharat Choudhary today said that National Conference (NC) led coalition Government, after having failed to come up to the expectations of people started banking upon politics of ‘laying of foundation stones’. These last minute efforts show desperation on the part of Government which is trying to gain some foothold now.
Addressing a press conference here today, Bharat Choudhary said the fate of all other projects foundation stones of which were laid earlier, is also hanging in balance and there is no headway in it. The Government could not complete Tawi Lake, Rope Way Project, Tawi River Front view, restore Mubarak Mandi or develop the cities on desired lines and miserably failed, he added.
He stated that today when Chief Minister laid down the foundation stone of another such project multi-tier parking at general bus stand it’s another attempt to woo people. People have come to know about futility of these foundation stone laying ceremonies and want minimum basic civic amenities, he added.
“Today when entire Jammu city is without water and PHE employees are on strike, Chief Minister preferred to lay foundation stone and not provide water to people”, he said, adding that PDP stands for development of Jammu and Kashmir State and in days to come will not let any section of the society for want of minimum civic amenities.
He urged people to vote and support PDP in coming elections and throw this inefficient and corrupt Government out of power.
“Jammu-East is most neglected constituency with dilapidated roads, chocked drains, garbage dumps, uprooted tiles, stray animals, encroachments on footpaths, damaged pavements and filth scattered all around that welcomes people in the morning”, Bharat said adding that there is nothing which the local representatives did for Jammu East constituency.
