POONCH, Sept 12: People’s Democratic Party senior vice president Sartaj Madni has said that party is playing a crucial role  for the sustainable development and peace in  the State.
Addressing a public meeting at Surankote today,  PDP senior vice president Mohammad Sartaj Madni said that decisive stage has reached where PDP patron late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s vision for competitive and inclusive politics  and shared economy will receive national and regional endorsement.
He said the BJP at the Centre as well as the national opposition parties today candidly acknowledged the importance of reconciliatory approach and inclusiveness to get Jammu & Kashmir out of turbulence and mistrust. These forces have also realized how important it is to review cooperative diplomacy for regional peace and mutual under-standing.
Madni said the latest assurances from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister in this regard are very much encouraging for our party as this vindicates the vision of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and consistency of Mehbooba Mufti  to consolidate upon despite odds.
Madni said soon our critics will also realize how difficult is to prove us wrong. He said J&K State will not only review the political ethos and ambiance of 2002 , but will soon usher in to a new phase of resolution and reconciliation. Madni said Mehbooba Mufti’s Government and party bore a tirade from adversaries supported by forces inimical to competitive politics and stability. He said these forces will no longer be allowed to thrive on uncertainty and winds of change will overtake them to follow truth and realism.
Speaking on the occasion Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Abdul Haq Khan said that Mehbooba led Government in three years has given a push to developmental map and progress and prosperity is visible despite a disruptive phase unleashed by our opponents.
Haq enumerated the gains and gave details how Mehbooba led Government raised infrastructure including roads, railways and bridges and tunnels and said that far-flung rural areas have been main beneficiaries of the increasing development.
Others who addressed included, Yashpal Sharma MLC, Shamim Dar district president, senior leaders Iqbal Kazmi, Choudhary Javaid and Abdul Hamid Manhas.
