PDP to dedicate observance of foundation day to Kashmir society: Madni

JAMMU, July 15: PDP vice president, Sartaj Madni, today said that this year the party will dedicate observance of its foundation day to Kashmir society.
Madni said that every conscientious citizen of the State owes it to posterity to sustain the age-old tradition and treasure of tolerance and brotherhood.
The PDP vice president said that since this rich civilization and cultural asset has come under stress due to several unfortunate incidents, PDP feels obliged to launch a crusade to save and sustain this for the larger good of the people and hopes that whole society of the State will cooperate in this pious mission for its own good.
He said the observance of foundation day is also aimed at reiterating the resolve to provide an honourable political space to State’s people and resolve to take measures necessary in the direction of accomplishment of the mission and vision of party patron and founder, Mufti Mohammad Syed.
“Party is observing its 18th foundation day across the State and in this connection, party will hold separate functions on this day in Kashmir Valley, Leh, Kargil and Jammu province”, he said, adding, workers will hold the meeting of Kashmir valley at Srinagar on July 29 at Municipal Park.
Madni said that party has decided to organize the separate functions in all other districts in Jammu and Ladakh regions, at their respective District Headquarters. “While Chief Minister and Party president is scheduled to address the main function at Srinagar, senior Party leaders and Ministers are likely to head the functions at various districts”, he informed.
