KISHTWAR, Aug 2: Member Legislative Council, Firdous Tak has said that People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has established itself as the only credible and trusted regional political force in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The present Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has proved her iron by establishing a regional political organization with utmost honesty, dedication and integrity. She is the only Chief Minister of the State who has almost cover all the nooks and corners of the State and interacted with the cross section of the society as such she is well aware about the problems being faced by the masses at the grassroot level”, Tak said.
He was addressing party workers in a function where large number of political workers from National Conference and Congress joined PDP. Former legislator, Syed Asghar Ali, district president, Sheikh Nasir Hussain, district secretary, Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza, district president, Trade Union, Sajad Ahmed Dev, Senior vice president, Nazir Ahmed Shah and State secretary, Youth, Umar Malik were also present.
He expressed satisfaction that PDP’s agenda of the peace and development was now seen positively not just in Kashmir valley but in Jammu and Ladakh regions, as well where also it was welcomed as a serious statewide political force with credibility and established credentials in governance and political acumen.
“Though PDP has originated as an idea for restoration of dignity of the people of J&K, the party has with inputs from various sections of opinion has evolved an agenda that it believes could lead to liberate the State and the region from decades of strife, bring a sense of achievement to its people and usher in a new era of sustainable peace and prosperity”, he said and added that overwhelming response to party from all regions of the State was a clear indication that people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh were looking towards PDP as only credible political force of the State.
