SRINAGAR, Jan 23: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has blamed Coalition Government for mass discontent and alienation of the people.
Addressing a day-long meeting of senior party functionaries of Kashmir province today JKPCC chief G A Mir blamed the Government for ignoring the genuine concerns and needs of the people in all the three regions and accused it of creating inconvenience thereby putting people to great hardships in every respect.
Lashing out anti people policies, Mir hit out at State Government for being ignorant about the genuine concerns and issues confronting people.
Mir said unemployment has risen considerably, daily rated workers, casual labours, who are serving in different departments for a long are not being regularized merely on political and party lines and it is evident that PDP-BJP leaders are trying to adjust their blue-eyed persons and party workers to gain political mileage out of the regularization process, which is fraught with dangerous consequences, he warned.
He said Congress Party as a viable and constructive opposition will continue to highlight the genuine demands and concerns of the people for their resolution and will make the Government accountable and answerable to people both in the State Legislature and outside.
Speaking on the occasion JKPCC vice president Mohd Anwar Bhat accused PDP Leaders and workers of misleading youth on the pretext of providing employment. He alleged that Youth in various districts especially in South Kashmir are being asked to furnish copy of Aadhar Card and Rs 1000 each for their adjustment as class IV employees, which is a type of an organized loot and another style of misleading people on the part of PDP.
The meeting sought clarity from Govt over the shortage of electricity, rising unemployment, unnecessary harassment and asked it to change its attitude towards the people.
The meeting also discussed the organizational affairs and expressed confidence that Congress party being a vibrant situation in the State shall continue to remain committed to fight against injustice, wrong and anti-people policies of the Government.
Those who addressed the meeting included JKPCC vice president Mohd Anwar Bhat, spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, general secretaries Nazir Ahmad Khan, Shameema Iqbal, senior leaders G N Mir Lasjan, district presidents Haji Farooq Mir, G M Mir and Imtiyaz Khan, Sahil Farooq, Shameema Raina, Mohd Yaqoob Vakil , Amir Rasool, Dr Syed, Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh, Mir Rovais, Saira Sameer and others.
