JAMMU, Mar 15: J&K PDD Causal Labourers Union delegation led by its provincial president Sampooran Singh met with Shehnaz Goni, Chief Engineer, Elect. M&RE Wing, Jammu.
While speaking, the deputation apprised the Chief Engineer about their grievances and requested for immediate release of pending wages of casual labourers, working in EM&RE wing, Jammu province.
The union leaders further stated that the department has published the list of 2463 casual labourers but deprived 1791 casual labourers, who are also working in the department.
They urged the Chief Engineer to publish the seniority list of casual labourers by including all the casual labourers in the department.
Chief Engineer assured them that their demands will be redressed at the earliest, and also asked them that their pending wages will be released upto second week of April.
Among others present were Mulkh Raj, senior vice president, Balwant Lal, general secretary, Gurmeet Singh, chief organizer, Mohan Lal, treasurer, Jia Lal, joint secretary, Mahinder Pal, Rajinder Kumar, Balbir Singh, etc.
