Addressing a specially organized meeting here today in this regard under the leadership of Ghulam Qadir Bhat co-convener PCC Migrant Cell it made an appeal to Election Commission of India to scrutinize the M Forms so that the doubts expressed by the political parties are dispelled and their genuineness is ascertained.
The meeting which was also attended by S L Pandita convener of the Cell, Bansi Lal Raina, M N Pandita vice chairman of the Cell and other leaders demanded that the procedure of M Forms be done away with as this is the greatest hurdle in the way of displaced people in casting their vote.
Ghulam Qadir while expressing concern over the postponement of elections in Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency said that political parties were not taken into confidence in this regard. He said the focus of the Government should be now smooth conduct of Amarnath yatra which will start from June and its main priority should have been that more and more yatris should come for darshan of Swami Amarnath Ji and by postponing the elections to ending May will further result in law and order problem and can crate hurdles in the smooth conduct of yatra also.
