He said that Prime Minister Modi owes an answer to the nation as to what was achieved by the demonetization as none of his stated objectives of eliminating black money, terror financing counterfeit currency have been met. He said that crores of common people were made to line up in front of ATMs to get their genuine money for their daily use but entire country underwent great sufferings and over hundred persons lost lives, lakhs of people lost jobs, countless suffered economic loss and small and medium businessmen were forced to close down their ventures. The fact that more than 99 % of the demonetized money came back into banking system, has proved the Govt claims as false and misleading.

Now, after one year, Modi Govt should explain and apologize to the poor and common man for his historical blunder for political gains. Demonetization is being used as tool to hide BJP failures,” he added.
