PCC asks IGP to upgrade security in Jammu

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 2: A delegation of senior leaders of PCC including Mula Ram,  Raman Bhalla  and   Shah Mohd Choudhary  called on IGP Jammu  Danish Rana and discussed with him the over all security scenario of J&K, in view of designs of Pakistan, especially the situation arisen after Nagrota Fidayeen attack.
The delegation asked the IGP to ensure foolproof security in Jammu city and its outskirts  in order to avoid untoward incidents.
Senior PCC leaders also apprised the IGP about the unprovoked and uncalled for action of Kanha Chack Police, who resorted to lathi-charge on Congress workers, when they were protesting against Govt on various issues in a peaceful manner.  That action was intentionally created by SHO Kanha Chack to please the BJP leadership in the  state.  PCC leaders demanded  impartial  inquiry into the matter.
IGP gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that a thorough and impartial inquiry will be conducted and necessary action be taken in the matter.
