PC led Cong Group to visit J&K

Srinagar, Oct 27: Congress Policy Planning Group constituted under the leadership of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is arriving in Jammu and Kashmir next month.
In a statement issued here, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that the Group would undertake four day visit of State from November 10 and it would be led by former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.
The Group had last visited Jammu and Srinagar in September and held interactions with dozens of delegations, both political and social, trade bodies, business community and various other social and political organizations to take stock of the prevailing situation in order to restore confidence among the people.
“This time the group will also visit Kargil and Leh to hold interactions with various groups, political and social organizations including trade bodies to take stock of the overall socio-political scenario obtaining the State,” said Mir, who is currently in Delhi in connection with the PPG Meeting held yesterday in Delhi.
