UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: Fulfilling a long pending demand of residents of Goal (Tikri) area, MLA Udhampur Pawan Kumar Gupta today kick-started the macadamization work of Tikri-Goal PMGSY road.
Pawan Gupta on the spot instructed the officials of the department concerned to also construct the side drains. The MLA reiterated his commitment for development of the constituency as a model constituency.
Earlier, locals said that this road was blacktopped at the time of its execution during the tenure of than MLA Udhampur Late Lala Shiv Charan Gupta. Since then the road was never repaired and no blacktopping was done with the result that it was not possible to ply vehicles on it due to dilapidated condition of this road.
On this occasion, Xen PMGSY Udhampur, AEE PMGSY Udhampur, Raj Kumar Bucha, Rohit Sethi, Capt Deol Ram, Krishan Singh, Sub Balbir Singh, Jalandher Singh, Balwan Singh, Nasib Singh, Shiv Kumar and others were present.
