REASI, Mar 6: The district Reasi unit of All J&K Patwar Association (AJKPA) today threatened of pen down strike in case their demands are not fulfilled within two days.
Addressing a meeting of AJKPA, which was attended by all tehsil presidents and a large number of basic members, State president, Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai said that the long pending demands of Patwar Association like DPC and Grade Pay are lingering on and no concrete steps have been taken by the Government to fulfill them till date.
He appealed the Government to resolve the issues of DPC within two days positively otherwise Patwar Association will be left with no option other than proceeding on pen down strike after stipulated time.
On the occasion, speakers also expressed that most of the tehsils in Reasi district are without even a single Girdawar and the whole district has only 5 Girdwars due to which the field work is suffering badly and writing of Jamabandies has become a hard work for patwaries.
