JAMMU, Mar 3: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania today called on Dr Jitendera Singh, MP Doda-Udhampur- Kathua Parliamentary Constituency and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space and had detailed discussions regarding development of Ramnagar Assembly constituency.
Pathania canvassed for a voluble connectivity under CRF for the underdeveloped area of Dudu-Basantgarh. He called for construction of a metalled, macadamised double lane road from Ramnagar to Tronglian, Tronglian to Basantgarh and Basantgarh to Dudu. He also called for a metalled, macadamised double lane road from Ramnagar to Ghordi and Ghordi to Udhampur.
He requested Minister for setting up of the transmitter proposed FM station alongwith a studio at Ramnagar with a view to connecting vast radio listening population of the area. Also this medium can be used as a platform to harness and showcase the talent of local art and culture. He further said that such a step can safely be termed as “milestone” in propagation of Dogri, Gojri and Gaddi culture not only in Ramnagar but adjoining areas of Chenani, Bhaderwah, Billawar, Bani and even Chamba.
Pathania also requested the Minister to ensure setting up of additional blocks at SDH Ramnagar and PHC Majalta, PHC Bharnara, PHC Mansar, PHC Basantgarh and PHC Khoon. He further informed that SDH Ramnagar caters to 800 to 1000 patients daily with indoor patients reaching more than 100, however he regretted that there are only two 20-bedded indoor wards to cater such a huge rush of patients.
For strengthening the communication facility, Pathania advocated for setting up of mobile towers at SK Ber, GS Banj, Chore Panjian, Dudu, Pachound, Nalla Mallian and other hilly areas of the constituency.
Dr Singh assured of all his possible help in nurturing and developing Ramnagar as a developmental hub and expressed hope that Pathania will continue to work with same zeal and dedication, and strive for the all round development of area.
