Pathania reviews developmental projects in Ramnagar

RAMNAGAR, Mar 8:  While reviewing various developmental schemes and projects pertaining to Ramnagar Assembly segment with district/tehsil/block level officers of various line departments and agencies of Udhampur district, MLA Ramnagar, R S Pathania, has emphasized for greater focus on hilly, backward, neglected and hitherto seen areas.
He stressed on all the departments and Government agencies to evolve a public-friendly approach while initiating various developmental schemes and projects. He directed various departments to complete road-projects, buildings, public utilities, laying of electricity and drinking water lines within the stipulated time-period and further take to task defaulting contractors for sticking to time-limits and make these developmental schemes and projects functional within the shortest possible time.
The MLA directed SDM Ramnagar to locate place for an alternative Bus Stand in Ramnagar town and renew ‘Desi Topidar’ gun-licenses at Ramnagar itself. He directed PDD, to prepare draft of a transformer-repair workshop at Ramnagar and asked Rural Development Department to immediately approve and finalize all planned and projected works under MGNREGA.
He directed officers of Ramnagar Municipality to immediately repair all defunct street lights in Ramnagar, clogged public toilets and littered drains and install dust-bins in Ramnagar town.
He also directed Revenue officers to immediately effect intikals/girdawaris of land-holdings and finalize and approve cases under ROSHNI and drought relief distribution too.
The MLA directed officers of PHE Department to ensure timely supply of clean water and formulate projects for uncovered habitations and immediately plug and restore shattered drinking water lines. He also directed PDD to immediately stop unscheduled power cuts and power-tripping and ensure that every electricity bill is not issued without checking meter-readings.
The meeting was attended by district-level officers of PWD (R & B), RDD, PMGSY, PHE, Education Deptt, etc.
