Pathania inaugurates PMKVY Skill Development Centre

UDHAMPUR, Jan 1: In order to improve employability of the youths of area, MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania today inaugurated a Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Skill Development Centre at Khoon.
While addressing prominent people, youth and registered entrepreneurs, MLA said that PMKVY is an ambitious skill training scheme of NDA Government and a brain child of Prime Minister. Under PMKVY, Central Government provides skill training in different industrial verticals through authorized training. At present there are 577 job roles available with 31 skill councils for which the courses are being offered across the nation. Under the PMKVY, the Central Government also provides financial reward to the candidates who are successfully trained, certified and assessed. The financial reward amount is different for different job roles, he informed.
Pathania emphasized that with coming up of this Skill Development Centre at Khoon, energy of youth will be properly harnessed and thus leading to their economic upliftment.
Earlier, MLA Pathania chaired a public-cum-officers meet at Jansal to take stock of the grievances and problems being faced by general public. On the spot instructions were issued to redress the common issues of water and electricity.
Pathania announced to develop Jansal as “Model Dairy Village”. He further announced construction of a tourist sarai at Jansal.
Pertinent to mention here that Pathania is on the tour of remotest villages of Ramnagar Constituency along with officers/officials of various line departments since last week so as to personally monitor ongoing developmental activities and take first hand assessment of various problems being faced by general public so that the vital public issues can be properly projected in the ensuing Budget Session of Assembly.
