RAMNAGAR, Nov 8: While addressing largely attended public meetings at Basantgarh, Mang, Lousru, Ponara, Khaned, Raichak, Kadwah, Lodhra, Baggan, Upper Balota, Chakal, Rang, Bland, Dhanu, Sunetar, Farol, villages and during an extensive tour of the far-flung, hitherto seen, less developed and administratively neglected areas of Ramnagar, R. S. Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, reiterated his focus on boosting tourism and spurring development in Ramnagar & Majalta Tehsils.
Mr. Pathania called for the need of developing Dudu Basantgarh as an exquisite destination for aesthetic lovers. He emphasized on developing the beauty of Tamdyal-a beautiful plateau with spruce and fir trees, as many as hundred variety of wild and fragrant flowers and a heart-rending landscape and a beautiful rivulet flowing in between. Mr. Pathania called for landscaping this beautiful spot of Tamdyal and providing road connectivity to it. He also called for developing Basuki Nag Mandir at Basantgarh and Shiv Gali Temple.
He also called for making budgeted accommodations for night-stay/rest of tourists and Tourism Rest Houses at Kalwanta and Gandh Top. The picturesque area of Dudu Basantgarh presently comes within purview of Patnitop Development Authority and the authorities-that-be of PDA are more or less in a position to do justice with the area of Dudu Basantgarh. But almost nil efforts have been made in the direction of developing tourism in the area, he added.
He stressed on the need and necessity to set up a new Tourism Development Authority at Dudu Basantgarh. He also reiterated focus on proper development, projection and creation of State-of-art tourism facilities at Devi Bani temple at Manwal, Vasuki Nag Temples at Dudu, Basantgarh and Gandh Top, Narsingh temples at Ramnagar & Jansal, Aapshambu temples at Dalsar & Khoon, ancient Nag temple at Mansar, and Chountara Mata, Bihana Choun, and Pingla Mata shrines.
He also announced electrification at Sang, Harthal, Soni, Ponara, Chill, Baggan, Chakka, Bheela Jagir,Gaghote, Kathil Ganjoo, Parli Satyan, Sarkandia Mohalla, Thelay (Ranka Laid), Gotu Thill, Naul, Laa, Kadwah, Karotha, Glani and as many as dozen other locations. He also called for developing/double-laning Ramnagar to Basantgarh and standardizing Roun to Ramnagar road. He announced laying of many foot-bridges in his constituency for allowing the people of the area to cross nallahs while they are in spate.
