RAMNAGAR, Mar 17: Ranbir Singh Pathania, spokesperson J&K BJP while addressing largely attended public interaction camps at Ramnagar, Romain, Mandi and Dhema criticised the riff-raff opposition for trying to mislead the people of the State.
He rather asked them to come up with an agenda as to how they wish to run India of 21st century
“I am surprised to see parties having varying ideologies, conflicting manifestos and contravening directions, coming on one platform just to dislodge the ‘Chowkidar of India”.
While terming the fanfare and hullabaloo of opposition as directionless and visionless, Mr. Pathania said that their only aim seems to wrest power by selling white lies and pipe dreams.
“It looks as if these parties have been dumbstruck by the strong wave of development unleashed by the Bharatiya Janata Party led Central Govt. under the leadership of the charismatic Prime Minister, Narendra Modi,” Pathania added.
Mr Pathania said that Jammu has been bestowed with AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Devika Project, Udhampur Radio Station, Ring road and Smart City project by the BJP led Central Govt and the public friendly welfare measures have struck a chord with the public.
While narrowing down the debate to Ramnagar, he said that the only political legacy left by these leaders was lawlessness, corruption, nepotism, politician-contractor nexus and a visionless working with nothing to show on the socio-economic platform of Ramnagar.
Pathania said that after being voted to power he had a gargantuan task ahead with regard to roads, water and electrical facilities.
He informed that during his tenure, 100 percent villages were electrified, Manwal-Majouri-Battal Grid was completed, 2 Degree Colleges one each at Majalta and Basantgarh were established, besides establishment of scores of high and higher secondary schools and worth 800 crores road projects under various heads.
“60 crore worth Water Supply Schemes to augment potable drinking water access, NRLM project which has provided livelihood to nearly 5000 women folks, Sports Stadium, Town Hall Ramnagar and various upcoming projects like Modern Bus Stand, Sewerage Treatment Plant, KVK and ITI are the glaring examples of development,” Pathania further added.
Prominent among those who attended were Jagmohan Singh, Mohinder Singh, Madan Lal, Tirath Ram, Tilak Raj, Sadhu Ram, Paras Ram and Ravi Sharma.
