Patel CC drubs Media Cricket XI by 79 runs in Exhibition T20

JAMMU, Apr 10: Patel Cricket Club defeated Media Cricket Eleven in Exhibition T20 Cricket Match at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
The match was organized by Patel Cricket under the supervision of Vijay Sharma, Secretary of the Club.
Jung Bahadur Singh, President Patel Club and member JKCA was the chief guest on the occasion.
Ajay Thakur Captain of the J&K Blind Cricket team was the special guest.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the organizing team for inviting the Captain of J&K Blind Cricket team as a special guest.
The chief guest and other dignitaries distributed trophies among the winners and runners-up teams. Mr Thakur was also honoured on the occasion.
In the match  Patel Cricket Club  defeated  Media Cricket XI by 79 runs.
Batting first, Patel Club scored 141 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Subrat Sharma was the top scorer with 64 runs, while Sahil Malhotra scored 57 runs.
From Media XI Desraj, Kewal and Ranjeet took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Media XI collapsed at a meagre total of 62 runs, thus lost the match by 79 runs. Rahul, Ranjeet and Sahil contributed 16, 14 and 10 runs to the total respectively. From Media Cricket XI, Sahil took 4 wickets, while Kunal bagged 3 and Sachin claimed 2 wickets.
Sahil Malhotra of Patel Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sharma said that the inaugural function of the Patel Memorial Cricket Tournament which was to be held tomorrow has been postponed due to Jammu Bandh, however the opening match will be played as per the fixture.
