PATNA: Union Food and Consumer Protection Minister and president of LJP Ramvilas Paswan today demanded reservation of backwards and oppressed in judiciary and private sector besides ensuring its benefits in promotion in these jobs as well.

Mr Paswan told media persons here that opportunities in Government services were limited while in private sector, it was increasing with growth in economy. The time had come to provide reservation for backwards and oppressed in private sector as well, he said adding that his party would write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to take concrete steps for opening new vista for them in private sector and make constitutional amendment for the purpose.

“Our party has constituted a team to prepare a format on reservation to ensure its desired benefits to backwards and oppressed,” Mr Paswan said adding that once it was finalised, it would be placed before the Government requesting for necessary action in larger interest of those who were yet to taste the fruits of development.
