Parihar’s book released by Dogri Sanstha

JAMMU, Feb 4: A new collection of Dogri songs ‘Geet Pataaru’ by renowned poet P L Parihar  was released in an impressive function held at K L Saigal Hall here today.
Gianeshwar Sharma, prominent Dogri, Dr A S Aman, Additional Secretary JKAACL and Dr Nirmal Vinod, along with Chhatrapal, president Dogri Sanstha Jammu, released the book.
Congratulating the poet, Gianeshwar, who was chief guest, said that Parihar has already three books to his credit including one for children. His songs represent his love for his land, its nature and the rich traditions of Duggar.
Dr Aman appreciated the literary genius of the poet.
Presiding over the function Dr Nirmal Vinod said that the collection has variegated Dogri songs highlighting the culture of Duggar in rich and poignant language. A paper which brought out salient features of the collection of songs was also read by Sanjeev ‘Sagar’ highlighting the literary and aesthetic qualities of songs.
A musical presentation of Parihar’s songs by the artists of Song and Drama Division was the highlight of today’s programme.
