Parents accuse Pvt schools of defying Govt order on fee

UDHAMPUR, Mar 14: Social activist Aman Sharma along with some parents today alleged that the Private schools were charging exorbitant fee by defying order number 01 of 2019, dated 28/1/2019, issued by the Fee Fixation Committee of all old and new private schools functioning in the State.
While talking to media persons, here today, Aman Sharma alleged that the Private schools were charging Rs 20,000 to 35,000 as admission fee along with Rs 1500/- to 2000/-per month tuition fee without giving any receipt to the parents.
“In addition to it, owners of the schools are compelling the parents to purchase the books and note books at the higher rates from the schools while the district administration has become a mute spectator and left all private schools unbridled,” he said and appealed the district administration for the enforcement of order number 01 of 2019 dt 28/01/19 in which all private schools are directed to enhance tuition fee @ 6% on the amount which they were charging on 2018 or they are liable to charge Annual fee @ Rs 6000/- and tuition fee @ Rs. 1000/- per month.
The social activist threatened to launch a massive protest if Government does not come forward to support innocent and poor parents.
