KATHUA, Apr 15: Natio-nal Panthers Party (NPP) today demanded CBI probe in Rassana rape and murder case.
Addressing a press conference here today, NPP State president, Balwant Singh Mankotia, said both the parties, relatives of victim and alleged accused, are demanding the CBI inquiry for fair probe and we support of their demand.
Mankotia said that Panthers Party does not want to save any accused involved in rape and murder but wants fair probe into the sensitive matter. He said Panthers Party is demanding the CBI inquiry from the very beginning and also held regular protests in support of their demand but the BJP did not respected the sentiments of people of Jammu and instead forced Minister Choudhary Lal Singh and Minister Chander Parkash Ganga to step down.
The JKNPP president said BJP high command is supporting the CM Mehbooba Mufti’s agenda while ignoring the sentiments of Jammuites. He said the Choudhary Lal Singh and Chander Parkash Ganga, while addressing the rally at Kootah, had assured the people of CBI inquiry and had announced that if they fail they will join the dharna protest with Hindu Ekta Manch. “Now the time has come for them to step down from MLA ship also and join the dharna to maintain their dignity”, he added.
