Panthak Morcha deputation calls on R&B Minister

JAMMU, Jan 25: A deputation of Panthak Morcha called on Minister for Roads and Buildings (R&B), Abdul Majid Wani here today.
The deputationists led by Chairman Rajinder Singh and President Gurcharan Singh urged for rebuilding of Gurudwara Charan Kanwal at Sermanjla, Ramnagar. They also pleaded for repairs and renovation of link road passed through Gurudwara. They also urged that demolished building of Gurudwara Sermanjla should reconstructed by the Government. The deputationists also requested for covering Nallah at Nanak Nagar area in between sector 6-13.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists. He said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the State, adding that in this direction the formative initiatives are underway to revamp the overall developmental process across the State.
Mr Wani assured the deputationists that the construction of historical Gurudwara Sermanjla besides repairs of nallah and link road would be taken up on priority. He also instructed the concerned authorities to ensure completion of all necessary formalities in this regard so that funds would be arranged for the purpose to fulfil the pending demand of Sikh community.
