Panic grips RS Pura as burglars flee with school bus

JAMMU, Apr 27: Panic gripped the bordering Ranbir Singh Pura area when a group of burglars fled away with a school bus. However, no arrest has been made in this incident till late tonight.
As per police sources, a yellow coloured bus was hijacked by three unidentified persons late last night from Sun Shine Public High School at Moosa Chak in Ranbir Singh Pura area.
The bus was found this morning at 0500 hours on Gondla Road, sources said, adding that robbers also tide the security guard of the school and broke the door of Principal’s room and had frisked the almirah.
“The accused had covered their faces with mask and had also snatched mobile phone of security guard”, sources added.
Though villagers suspected it militant attack but it was a robbery”, he said, adding that check points have been raised and manhunt launched to locate the burglars.
When contacted, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand told the Excelsior that a case in this regard has been registered at RS Pura police station. “We are on the job and within days the culprits will be behind the bars”, he asserted.
