Panchayat Ghar torched; PDP worker abducted, released

SRINAGAR, Sept 21: Unknown persons this evening torched a Panchayat Ghar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The Panchayat Ghar at Munnad Yaripora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district went into flames this evening and residents of the area put out the fire.
This is the 10th Panchayat Ghar that was set ablaze in Kashmir since elections to the Panchayats and Local Bodies was announced last week.
And militants this evening abducted a People’s Democratic Party worker in Malangpora area of Pulwama. However, he was later let off.
Militants raided the house of Muzaffar Khaliq, a PDP worker at Malangpora in Pulwama district of South Kashmir this evening and abducted him. He was asked to announce his resignation from PDP which he did and the video was uploaded on social media and he was later let off.
