The village which is mostly inhabited by the PoJK refugees from Chhamb was in grief and shock as the people came to know that one of the valiant sons of the village laid down his life in the fidayeen attack.
Among the 100 families of the village, 70 families belonged to PoJK refugees displaced from Chhamb in 1971 Indo -Pak war and most of them are relatives who had preferred to stay at one place”, said Madan Choudhary one of the relatives of JCO.
Survived by his octogenarian mother, wife and two children, one son and a daughter, Neha Choudhary who was also injured in the terrorist attack, wailing Surinder Choudhary said that Madan Choudhary mustered a lot of courage and saved the life of other family members intelligently after he himself sustained serious bullet injuries.

Among his two children, his son has joined NDA at Bangalore while his daughter is a post graduate student who is studying at Jammu.
His mother who was staying in the village was not informed by the relatives and villagers about the tragedy befallen on the family owing to her weak health.  His wife and daughter were staying with Madan Choudhary in a quarter at Army Camp Sunjuwan.
She is looking at villagers at relatives pouring at the residence in large numbers and gazing  them to know about the reasons of such an unusual visit but no body is in a position to reveal the fact and reality to her.
Some villagers who were in anger cursed Pakistan for the attack and wanted that the Government of India should not resist any more now and take on the enemy with full force to avenge the martyrdom of jawans and people who laid down their lives in terrorist attacks.
Former Minister and Congress leader Manjit Singh along with some Party activists also visited he village to share his grief and sorrow. Talking to reporters, he said that it is high time when the GoI should act against the enemy country. He asked: “how long we will witness this death and destruction. Innocent people are killed on border in ceasefire violation. Army jawans lay down their lives in unprovoked firing from across”.
He said the Government should take action against the enemy country as well as the sympathizers of terrorists within so that they will not dare to raise their ugly head again.
Pakistan was taught a lesson in 1971 war and it remained calm for near two decades so it deserves same treatment again now, he added.
