REASI, Oct 17: The `mortal remains’ of the Special Operation Group, Constable, Kamal Kishore who attained martyrdom while fighting with the militants in Fateh Kadal area of Srinagar this morning, reached his home village , Gran Morh near Reasi this evening.
SSP Reasi, Nisha Nathyal, Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramaswamy and several other district level officers, family members and relatives received the dead body. A large number of people from all walks of life had already gathered at the District Police headquarters here this evening.

A pall of gloom descended the Reasi town after the mortal remains of the brave jawan wrapped in National flag and laden with the flowers arrived at the venue in special police vehicle from Srinagar. A wreath laying ceremony was held where SSP and DC paid their homage to the Martyr. Later, the body was brought to his home village Gran Morh on Reasi-Jyotipuran Road late in the evening. Family sources said that cremation would take place tomorrow at Chenab river bank.
Family sources said that Kamal Kishore was serving in IRP 6th Battalion. He was deployed in SOG Kashmir, hardly five months back. His elder brother is serving in J&K Police while sister in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). His belonged to lower middle class farming family. Out of the two brothers and two sisters in the family, three are serving in belt force. He was going to be married hardly after six months.
It is pertinent to mention here that this brave Reasi boy, attained supreme sacrifice while fighting with the militants in Srinagar today, where security forces achieved major success in killing three militants.
Meanwhile, Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh who happens to be the Member Parliament from this constituency has expressed shock over the incident and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
