Pak again violates ceasefire on LoC

JAMMU, Aug 6: After a lull of few days, Pakistan army today again resorted to shelling and firing on Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
Official reports said Pakistan violated ceasefire at Baba Khori in Nowshera sector at about 10.30 pm by resorting to firing with small and medium fire arms and few shells of mortars. The Indian side retaliated effectively, leading to exchanges, which continued till late in the night.
No casualties were reported on the Indian side.
Since May 1, several sectors in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch have witnessed heavy mortar shelling and firing, leading to heavy casualties and damages on Pakistan side. Indian side too suffered some casualties and damage.
The shelling and firing between Indo-Pak troops have resulted into suspension of cross-LoC travel and trade on Poonch-Rawlakote route for past over a month.
