Excelsior Correspondent
POONCH, Jan 1:  The Deputy Chairman J&K Legislative Council  Jahangir Mir today said that  Pakistan should stop cease-fire violations as it is taking lives of the innocent civilians.
Talking to media persons after attending funeral of  15- year old boy Tanveer Ahmed at Degwar village,  who was killed in Pak shelling near  LoC on Saturday, Mir  said that Pak should stop such type of violation wherein civilians are targeted.  He said that with the shelling along the LoC for the last several months many innocent people have lost their lives.  They can be properly replied by the Indian Army but civilians may fell victim to such senseless act.
He was told by the locals that no high rank officer of civil or police administration visited this place and it clearly indicates that the administration is not serious about the difficulties of border populace.
Dy Chairman showed his great concern over such slackness on the  part of administration and asked if he can come on-spot then why not administration?
He also visited across the Indian fence and met with Army jawans. He  encouraged them for their prime and sincere duty to safeguard our nation and its inhabitants.  He further talked to CMO Poonch and asked him to provide better health facilities in the PHC of  the said village as there is scarcity of facilities.  He was also directed to organize an awareness camp along with civil/ defence experts in this  village.
