POONCH, Oct 4: Prominent Gujjar leader from Poonch, Shamsher Hakla Poonchi has condemned the unprovoked shelling by Pakistani forces on innocent civilians in Shahpur area near the LoC in district Poonch on Monday.
In a press statement issued here today, Mr Hakla while expressed strong resentment over the Pak troops’ action said that five civilians have been injured and several structures damaged in Pak Army action at Shahpur village. He expressed his sympathy with the injured villagers hospitalized at Poonch. He termed the action on the part of Pak Army as violation of human rights. He demanded financial assistance in favour of injured persons and those whose houses/ shops have been damaged. He demanded that people should be shifted to safer locations.
