Pak denies permit, no J&K visitor to PoK in 5 weeks

Excelsior Correspondent
POONCH,  Sept 26: Not even a single J&K resident could go to Pak occupied Kashmir from Poonch-Rajouri side via Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point  in last five weeks as the Pakistani authorities are not providing travel permit to the Indians from this border belt.
Official sources told the Excelsior that today 39 visitors, all from PoK were seen in the buses from both the sides. While 19 fresh guests arrived this side from the PoK, 20 residents of Pak held Kashmir returned in the Rawlakote bound bus from Poonch side today. Not even single J&K resident from either side could be seen at the LoC point.
A senior official from Poonch district administration said that  for the last five weeks no Indian resident crossed over to that side due to non-clearance of their travel documents/ permit by the Pakistani authorities.
He further disclosed that about 3370 applications of the J&K residents, lying with the Pak authorities for the last several months, await clearance. He said that Indian authorities are clearing the travel documents  of the PoK residents, without delays but no such gesture has been observed from the Pakistani side.  They are seems to be discouraging the cross LoC travel of  the relatives on both sides.
