Pak army targets marriage party, kills reveler

JAMMU, May 11: A youth was killed when Pakistan army opened firing and shelling targeting house of a marriage function at Kalsan Malti in Bigial Dara area of Digwar sector in Poonch district in wee hours of this morning.
Other members of the marriage party had a narrow escape in the firing.
Mohammad Ikhlaq, 22, son of Mohammad Sadiq, R/o Kalsan, who happened to be nephew of Jamaal Din, whose son Amin was to get married today, was killed after being hit by the bullets in the house at 12.30 am when the celebrations of marriage party were going on.
Ikhlaq was rushed to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Indian Army strongly retaliated Pakistan’s shelling and firing.
Sources said Jamaal Din decided to make the marriage a very low key affair today in view of the killing. Only couple of people went to the house of Shakar Din as ‘barat’.
Instead of marriage celebrations, there was pall of gloom in the village due to killing of a youth by the Pakistan army.
