JAMMU, Feb 23: In a rare honour accorded to budding artists of J&K, J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages in collaboration with J&K Raj Sanik Board, released postal stamps consisting of prize winning paintings of the children which were earlier selected for award on the occasion of Indian Armed Forces Day.
From DPS Jammu, the paintings of Vrindalika Sharma II-B (First Prize), Aaisha Banday II-L (Third Prize / Infant group), Pranthmansh Sharma V-I (Second Prize/ Junior Group and Vanshi Koul XI-E ( Consolation Prize, Senior Group) were selected for release as Dak Ticket (Postal Stamps 2017).
Students were felicitated by the Chief Guest Capt Bana Singh (PVC) Parma Veer Chakra along with Brig. Harcharan Singh Director J&K Rajya Sainik Baord and Dr. Amn, Additional Secretary.
Earlier, students were felicitated by the Governor of J&K NN Vohra in a Special Function at Tiger Theatre, Jammu.
Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS, Jammu and Headmistress Meenu Gupta applauded the winners and their teacher Suresh on this marvelous achievement.
