Applicants thronging Passport Office during Passport Adalat on Saturday.

JAMMU, Oct 19: Passport Adalat organized in the premises of Passport Office, Jammu received overwhelming response from the applicants.
Regional Passport Officer, Jammu, Rajinder Gupta, in an official handout, said that there was overwhelming response from the applicants, who appreciated the concept of holding the Adalat.
The Adalat was organised with the aim to clear the old pending files (for the year 2011 and 2012) whose Police Verification Reports (PVR) have been delayed and received recently. “The passports of such applicants will be delivered within next 72 hours”, Mr Gupta said.
During the Mela, a mammoth gathering of the Passport aspirants rushed in, whereby all the eligible applicants were granted Passport. The occasion was a golden chance for the applicants whose passport files for the year 2011 will stand henceforth closed.
