Over 1.90 lakh pilgrims pay obeisance at Chandi Mata Dham

KISHTWAR, Aug 21: Over 1.90 lakh pilgrims pay obeisance at sacred Chandi Mata Dham today at Machail with the holy mace (Charri Mubarak) reaching Chisoti this evening from Massu.
As per official data, a total of 1,90,870 pilgrims including 82076 males, 70675 females, 37991 children and 128 sadhus have paid obeisance at the shrine till date since the commencement of Yatra on July 25, 2018. Around 19459 pilgrims paid obeisance at the sacred shrine of Machail Mata today. The number will increase considerably in the coming days as huge number of pilgrims are reaching Kishtwar and Gulabgarh, the base camp of the shrine, everyday.
Meanwhile, thousand of devotees including women and children accompanied the Charri Mubarak from Massu to Chisoti. After night halt at Chisoti, the Charri will reach the sacred shrine of Machail Mata tomorrow.
It is worthwhile to mention that this year, local people of Kishtwar and its adjoining areas have voluntarily arranged langars and other facilities for the pilgrims at maximum number of halting points.
