JAMMU, Feb 1: Following the Excelsior report, the controversial order on imposing user-charges on the patients in Government Medical College Jammu and Associated Hospitals was today kept in abeyance.
‘The decision conveyed vide letter number GMC/PC/913-14 dated 28-1-2014 and number GMC/J/PC/888-91 dated 27-1-2014 regarding user charges in GMC and Associated Hospitals, Jammu, is hereby kept in abeyance, says the fresh order issued by Principal GMC Jammu, Dr Shashi Gupta on the instructions of Minister for Medical Education Taj Mohi-ud-Din.
The Excelsior in its today edition had reported about the controversial Government decision of making all diagnostic tests in GMC Jammu and Associated hospitals paid without sparing even indoor patients as well as those in the emergency.
