JAMMU, Jan 3: BJP State spokesperson, Prof. Virender Gupta strongly criticized the opposition for disrupting Governor, NN Vohra’s address in the joint session of legislature while creating unprecedented scene and forcing the Governor to leave his address within 15 minutes.
In a statement issued here today he also strongly condemned the disrespect shown to the National Anthem by the opposition, as they continued with their protest, raising anti-government slogans when the National Anthem was being played after the Governor ended his address.
BJP spokesperson said that it was a great shameful and condemnable action on the part of opposition that those who take the oath of the Constitution and for upholding the integrity of the country, indulged in anti-India activities and such like criminal offence. He demanded that Speaker of the House and the State Government should initiate appropriate action against the legislatures as per the law of the country.
