Srinagar, Jan 15: Security forces today launched an operation against a group of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants at village Awoora in South Kashmir district of Anantnag.
Army’s 3 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off village Awoora in Pahalgam area of Anantnag after inputs about presence of three LeT militants, Adil commander, Masood and Abid hiding in the village.
They conducted house to house searches and opened fire also but militants didn’t respond. The cordon and search operation is on.
