KISHTWAR, Jan 4: Retre-ating the resolve of his party to aggressively pursue the pro-people agenda, former R&B Minister and PCC vice president Ghulam Mohammad Saroori (MLA) today said that only Congress has the capacity to keep all the regions and sub-regions of the State united.
Addressing series of public meetings at Lass, Londhri, Neju, Dhar and Dugga in Tehsil Drabshalla today, Saroori said that the Congress had translated its promises into realities so people of the State have high hopes from the party.
“We will come up to the expectation of the people”, he assured and added that unlike other parties, Congress has never ignored people’s aspirations for power.
“Congress through its works has earned credibility of the people of the State and the masses are looking towards Congress to get their aspirations addressed”, Saroori said adding that people have realized that only Congress has the vision and conviction to solve their problems. “By translating its promises into realities, Congress in a short span of time had earned faith and credibility of the people”, he said.
Saroori said that the tenure of the Ghulam Nabi Azad led regime was historic period in the political history of the State because that Government had succeeded in involving people in the governance. Responding to the demands of the local people, the MLA promised to formulate a comprehensive plan for the over-all development of rural and far-flung areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Akhtar Hussain, Mohd Sultan Malik, Mufti Arshad, Abdul Wahid Sheikh, Bashir Ahmed, Jagdish Raj and Ved Prakash, said that people of the State are fed up with anti- people policies of the Coalition Government which has totally failed to redress the grievances of the people in all aspects including development.
Earlier, the MLA welcomed Bashir Ahmed Malik, Noor Hussain, Bhadar Din, Shariefa Begum former Panch along with their supporters in Congress fold and said their joining will further strengthen the party in Saroor area.
