SRINAGAR, Oct 20: According to IGP Traffic, in view of closing of Darbar Move offices at Srinagar on October 30 & 31, it has been decided to permit only down convoys from Srinagar to Jammu for two days viz October 31 and November 1 on NHW-IA.
No up convoy from Jammu to Srinagar will be permitted on the said dates under any circumstances. Army and para-military force convoys will also not be allowed to ply from Jammu to Srinagar on these dates.
Similarly, it has been decided to permit down convoys from Srinagar to Jammu on November 7 & 8 on NHW-IA to facilitate smooth movement of vehicles carrying Darbar move employees from Srinagar to Jammu as the offices are opening at Jammu on November 9. No up traffic from Jammu to Srinagar including the convoys of Army and para-military forces will be permitted to ply on these dates, under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, movement of all types of vehicles on Sonamarg – Drass road will be allowed between 7 am and 9 pm only on daily basis.
Between 9 pm and 7 am, the Sonamarg – Drass road will be kept dry to enable the BEACON authorities, to carry out the necessary repairs and proper maintenance.
