One killed, three injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Jan 2: A person was killed while three others were injured today in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a motorcyclist identified as Naresh Kumar (24) son of Harbans Lal, resident of Chakroi (RS Pura) was killed on the spot this evening when a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02BA-3562 hit the bike on which he was travelling, at Chakroi. He said that the dead body of the deceased was kept in mortuary room of CHC RS Pura for post mortem. A case in this connection was registered and investigation taken up.
In another incident, a constable of IRP 18 Battalion was injured this evening when a motorcycle on which he was travelling, was hit by an unknown vehicle on Jammu-Akhnoor road at Bathera. The injured Jawan was identified as Zorawar Singh (28) son of Ranjit Singh, resident of Marjali (Kanachak).
A pedestrian identified as Santosh (36) son of Jatinder Parshad, resident of UP and at present Tallab Tillo, received injuries when he was hit by a mini-bus at Talab Tillo. A motorcyclist also got injured at Domana when his bike collided with another bike. The injured motorcyclist was identified as Ashraf (35), resident of Bantalab, Jammu.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
