JAMMU, Feb 6: A civilian was killed while nine Army Jawans were injured in two separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, an unknown male pedestrian was hit and killed on the spot by an unknown vehicle near the main church at Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
A case in this connection has been registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigations started.
Another mishap occurred at Sidhra-Narwal road near Honda showroom, where an Army bus carrying soldiers rolled down the road. In the mishap, nine army Jawans were injured. They were shifted to Army Hospital, Satwari (Jammu) for treatment.
