KATHUA, Aug 7: One motorcyclist died while the other was seriously injured when a new Alto Car having temporary number plate hit the motorcycle at Muthi Jagir.
The duo was working as masons in Muthi Jagir and they were on their way from their residence Nagri parole to Muthi Jagir this morning when the Alto Car hit them.
Among the duo one mason died on spot. He has been identified as Dalip Kumar S/O Gopal Chand while the injured ahs been identified as Ranjit, son of Sadhy Ram. He was first taken to District Hospital Kathua wherefrom doctors referred him to GMC Jammu and his condition is stated to be critical.
The Nagri Parole police has seized the car and arrested its driver Mohammed Shafi, son of Mohammed Sawar. The eyewitness said that the car was in high speed and driver was unable to control it resulting in the fatal accident.
