REASI, Apr 4: A rider was killed, while another person received serious injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Baradari area, falling under the jurisdiction of Reasi police station.
As per police sources, two persons riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number PB54D-0308 were on their way to Sula from Baradari, when the rider lost control over the steering and the motorcycle landed in gorge after smashing the railings of the bridge near Baradari.
After getting information, police team from Reasi police station and locals rushed to the spot and shifted both the victims to District Hospital Reasi, where doctors declared one of the accident victims as brought dead, while other person after initial treatment was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Sudesh Singh, son of Nasseb Singh, a resident of Charakote, district Reasi and the injured has been identified as Raj Singh, son of Sansar Singh, a resident of Dangakot, district Reasi.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Reasi police station and investigation started.
