SRINAGAR, Jan 18: Police today said a boy was killed while another was injured in two separate road accidents in Ganderbal and Kargil districts
A police spokesman said a Maruti car bearing registration number JK05D-1609 driven by Javaid Ahmad Dar hit a 10-year old boy namely Zaid Zahoor Ganie at Preng along National Highway at Ganderbal district.
“The injured was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Kangan for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Xylo vehicle bearing registration number JK07-2731 driven by Mohammad Ibrahim collided with a Sumo bearing registration number JK07-1576 driven by Mujeeb Ahmad at Taksboo area of Drass in Kargil district, resulting in injuries to one person namely Nazir Ahmad.
“The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kargil for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
